About Nuvama

Nuvama Wealth & Investment Limited (formerly Edelweiss Broking Ltd, rebranded in 2022 and listed on the NSE/BSE in 2023) was incorporated in 2008 and is a Mumbai-headquartered full-service stockbroker. It is registered with SEBI and is a depository participant with NSDL, offering equity, F&O, currency derivatives, commodities, IPOs and mutual funds.

Nuvama runs two brokerage plans on one account — the flat-fee Lite Plus plan (₹20 per executed order across equity and F&O) for self-directed traders, and the percentage-based Elite plan (0.30% on equity delivery) for clients who want a dedicated relationship manager, free call-and-trade, free research and other full-service extras. Equity delivery isn't free on either plan, and the demat account carries a ₹300/year AMC on Lite Plus or ₹500/year on Elite, after a free first year.

Lite Plus vs Elite — compare Nuvama's plans

Both plans sit on the same demat and trading account — you can switch between them (switching back to Lite Plus from Elite costs ₹2,500; only 2 switches allowed per account).
